So Dean has expressed his belief that it is unlikely that they will make this movie the way it ought to be made. I confess that I am also on the fence about this. From what I remember of the graphic novel, I cannot conceive of any way of actually making it into a film. (Unlike, for example, Alan Moore's V for Vendetta, which seemed like it was practically begging to be filmed.) Then again, I would have the same thing about LotR, and we all know how that turned out.
Any other thoughts? I'm really excited about this movie, just because it is probably one of the better novels of the 20th century. (Time magazine actually placed it somewhere in it's Top 100). Anyone else read it?
